RODNEY O. STANLEY, age 65, of Portage, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, March 9, 2013. He was born on May 29, 1947 in Gary to the late Oren and Lucille Stanley. He was a graduate of Portage High School and proudly served his country in the US Army. He retired from USX Local 1014. Rodney enjoyed hang gliding, motorcycles and flying model planes. He was a member of the Midwest Sundowners, EAA, Wanderers MC, and the VFW Post #7760. He will be greatly missed.

Rodney is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda; 3 children, Shana (Daniel Fetrow) Stanley, Shane and Chris "Red" Stanley all of Portage; 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlyn, and Marcus; mother-in-law and good friend, Delores (the late, Lowell) Edwards; other loving family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Christopher; brother, Larry; brother-in-law, Mark Edwards.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. A funeral service for Rodney will be Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Dennis Ticen officiating.
