Mr. Roger M. Grubb, age 74, of Hobart passed away Monday January 16, 2017 at the St. Mary Medical Center. He was born May 30, 1942 in Wytheville, VA on a farm to the late Herbert and Helen (Johnston) Grubb. A graduate of Johnson University and Lincoln Christian Seminary Master of Divinity Program, Roger was involved in Christian Ministries for over 40 years. Roger retired from Community Christian Church in Hobart due to health issues. In 1970 he was part of a ministry team to Australia that he never forgot. He was a former real estate agent, investor, entrepreneur and currently owned Tractor Sales with his son and wife. Roger has battled heart failure since 1998 and was a 10 year cancer survivor. His joy and passion in life was serving the Lord and working with people.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Judy Grubb; four children, Laura (Mark) Cenova of Carmel, David Grubb of Hobart and Guam, Brent (Laura) Grubb of Portland, OR and Krystal Grubb of San Francisco, CA; his granddaughter Amelia Grubb; his step-granddaughter Sophia Cenova; six brothers and sisters, H.W. Grubb of Austin, TX, Julian Grubb of Beckley, WV, Mark Grubb of Max Meadows, VA, Lucy Mason of Vestavia, AL, Gerald Grubb of Nashville, TN and Mozelle Farmer of Leesburg, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday January 25, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Mr. Gerald Grubb officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.

Memorial gifts are preferred to Johnson University 7900 Johnson Road, Knoxville, TN 37998 in lieu of flowers.
