Roland "Rollie" Singer, age 65, of Hobart passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. He was born on September 25, 1957, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Leo Roland and Marilyn (nee Childs) Moore. On December 12, 1987, Roland married his bride, Sherry Hart. Roland was an avid Bears fan who enjoyed hunting, but most of all he treasured time with his family.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Rollie loved his dog Oreo.

Roland is survived by his wife, Sherry (nee Hart) Singer; two daughters, Stephanie (Kevin) Henderson and Kristen (Antonio) Singer; son Kyle (Ini) Singer; two grandchildren, Jessica Henderson and Connor Singer; step mother, Char Singer; eight siblings, Jo Ann (David) Torok, Sandy Riley, Denise (Joe) Brock, Pat (Mia) Moore Jr., Nikki Moore, Jessica (Steven) Spurlock, Brian (Jen) Singer and Mark (Sherri) Singer; and many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Roland was preceded in death by his father, Leo Roland Singer, mother, Marilyn Moore and stepfather, Pat Moore Sr.

A celebration of Roland's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, Indiana.
