Obituary
Ronald L. Blanton, age 76, of Hobart passed away Tuesday March 22, 2016 at Sebo's Nursing Center in Merrillville. Ronald was born September 10, 1939 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late John and Mildred (Rickett) Blanton. He was a retired crane operator at US Steel with over 30 years of service. Ron loved playing golf and fishing.
Ronald is survived by five children Theresa (David) Crawford of Elkhart, Sherry (Sally) Blanton of Holland, MI, Tina Blanton of Hobart, Shelly Blanton of Hobart and Walter Anthony Blanton of Lexington, KY; Fourteen grandchildren; Twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother William Blanton.
Ronald requested cremation with no attended services. A family memorial services will be held at a later date. Rees funeral home assisted Ronald's family with arrangements.
