Ron Brock, age 67, passed away Sunday October 17, 2010 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born July 13, 1943 the son of the late Andrew and Edith Brock. On July 21, 1990 Ron married the love of his life Terri Serbin. He was a retired teamster truck driver, Mason in Masonic Lodge 357 and served his country in the U.S Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, gambling and playing with his number one buddy his little dog Budah.
Ron is survived by his loving family; wife Terri (nee Serbin) Brock of Lake Station, 2 sons; Clark (Brandi) of Gillette, WY, Ronnie of North Carolina, 6 daughters; Tammi Serbin of Hobart, Stephanie Serbin of Lake Station, Cora Brock of Lake Station, Jowanna (Rich) of Gillette, WY, Renea and Rhonda Brock both of Kentucky, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, brother; John (Patty) Brock of Rockwood, Tennessee, father-in law; Fred Serbin, 4 brother in laws Teddy (Charlene) Serbin of NV, Timmy (Beth) Serbin of Valparaiso , Randy (Nicki) Serbin of Mokena, IL, Grant Noe of Kingston, Tennessee sister in law; Chrissy (fiancée Brian) of Hobart, friends Danny (Mary) Rose of Hobart, special cousin and care giver Mary Houser, loving nieces Angie, Kim, Kelly and Tian and other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son Steven Serbin Brock, parents Andrew and Edith Brock, and 3 sisters Shirley Hemphill, Verna Steininger and Carol Noe.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday October 20,2010 at 7:00 p.m., at Rees Funeral home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 20,2010 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service with a Masonic Prayer service at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family.
