Ronald K. Evans

Ronald K. Evans, age 80, of Portage, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020. He was born on August 12, 1940 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Clifford and Doris Evans. Ron retired from US Steel where he worked as a machinist. He served as a Boy Scout leader for over 18 years.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Tracy) Evans, James (Kim) Sutton, Paul (Lisa) Sutton, Karl (Theresa) Sutton, Ronald Lee Evans; daughters, Karlene (Scott) Nyquist, Jacquelyn (Ray) Evans and Linda Sutton; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Brian (Marsha) Evans; and beloved furry companions, Rocky and Roxanna.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Evans in 2012; his parents, Clifford and Doris Evans; two brothers, Clifford and Robert Evans; sister, Carol Jarrett.
