Obituary

Ronald Gildersleeve, age 57, of Lake Station passed away in his home Friday, December 20, 2024. Ronald was born May 2, 1967, in Gary, Indiana to the late Roy and Dorothy (Bledsoe) Gildersleeve. Ron was a retired Diesel Mechanic and a man of faith. He was very patriotic and a member of the Sons of the American legion. Ron loved riding his Harley or being on the boat. He was known for writing, singing, and playing country music. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Ron was known for his cooking and his avid collecting.

He is survived by his two daughters, Megan Gildersleeve of Portage and Kirsten Gildersleeve of Valparaiso; two brothers, Edward (Megan) Gildersleeve of Lake Station and James (Darcy) Gildersleeve of Middleburg, FL; one sister, Michelle Arndt of Carlisle; many nieces and nephews; and many fur and feathered grandbabies.

Ron will be Cremated with the assistance of Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel in Lake Station. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held at a future date. You can check out Ron's Facebook page for more information.
