Ronald P. Irwin

Ronald P. Irwin, age 60, of Gary passed away Wednesday December 18, 2019 in his home.  Ronald was born to Fred and Susie (Austin) Irwin December 27, 1958 in Chicago Heights, Illinois.  Ronald was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and worked at the Ford Stamping Plant in Chicago Heights.  He was a proud union member. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a former member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

Ron is survived by his loving son, Dan (Kari) Irwin of Crown Point/ Winfield; his grandson, Oliver Irwin; his mother, Susie Downs of Beaumont, Texas; his father, Fred (Jane) Irwin of Cape Coral, Florida; his sister, Diana (John) Valdez of Beaumont, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Harry and step father William.

Memorial visitation will be conducted from 2:00 to 7:00 pm Monday December 23, 2019 at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel 10909 Randolph Street Crown Point/Winfield, IN 46307.  A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home with Harry Irwin officiating.
