Ronald Calvin Kettwig "Ronnie", age 59, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his home. Ronnie was born May 14, 1957 in Gary, Indiana to the late Henry and Doris (Hill) Kettwig. Ron was a US Army Tank Instructor retiring with 26 years of service. He will be greatly missed by his family and the friends that loved him.

Ronnie is survived by his loving companion, Theresa Sparks; a son, Michael Kettwig of Germany; two granddaughters; five brothers and sisters, Joseph (Sandy) Kettwig, Henry Russell (Anola) Kettwig, Anthony J. (Beth) Kettwig, Daniel (Lisa) Kettwig, and Carol A. (Steve) Rummell; brother in law, Mac Arthur Bowen; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Eleanor Bowen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ronnie's name may be made to the family.

A funeral service will take place at 2:30 pm Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Lakeview Baptist Church, 2321 Dombey Road, Portage, Indiana 46368 with Rev. Ronnie Cox officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 1:30 pm until the time of service at the church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station.
