IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald J.
Mihal, Sr.
May 7, 1944 – September 16, 2023
Ronald J. Mihal, Sr., age 79, of Hobart passed away in his sleep after a lengthy health battle on Saturday, September 16, 2023. He loved everything to do with cars, planes, nature, and food. Ron enlisted in the US Navy where he was stationed in Pearl Harbor. While aboard the USS Hornet CV-12 carrier, they recovered NASA debris from the Apollo missions. He would visit the mountains in Casper, Wyoming where he found serenity hunting for jade and riding horses. He was in recovery for over forty years, saying that being in the mountains and working on cars helped him. If there was a car show or someone working on cars – he was right there with them. He retired from US Steel after 20 years and truck driving after 15 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Ronald (Jennifer) Mihal, Jr., Lillian "Shelli" Mihal, Jennifer Jordan; grandchildren, Melissa Mihal, Hazel Horswill, Jett Kulage, Jr., TeJay Mihal; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Joseph) Centanni, Jeanette (Bob) Gnecco, Marguerite Prezioso; brothers, Alan (Cathy) Prezioso, and Michael (Cheryl) Prezioso.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn Mihal; his biological father, Eugene Prezioso; grandson, Erick Earle; great grandson, Bentley Mihal; and best friend, Rick Holmes.
