RONALD D. NORTHEY, AGE 78, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Aperion Care. Ron was born on February 22, 1945 in Gary, Indiana.  Ron graduated from LaCrosse High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the VFW Post #5365.  Ron worked as a driver for UPS and retired after many years of service.

He is survived by his son, Brian (Michelle) Northey; 3 granddaughters, Rebecca, Sarah and Rachel Northey; 2 sisters, Nancy (Ron) Sadelack and Bonnie Morris; 2 brothers, Robert Hawkins, and Roy (Cheryl) Hawkins; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Northey and mother, Mary Good; brother, James Northey; and sister, Ella Born.

There will be a visitation for Ron on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. VFW Service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd.
