Ronald Leon Petri, Sr. "Ronnie", age 56, of Gary passed away June 12, 2014. Ronnie was born July 22, 1957 in Gary, Indiana to the late William and Vivian (Stokes) Petri. Ronnie was a handyman who loved playing Bingo, fishing, mowing grass, and playing with children.

Ronnie is survived by his two sons Michael (Brandy) Petri and Ronnie Petri, Jr. both of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren; five brothers Al (Ginger) Petri of South Haven, Bill Petri of Michigan City, Mark (Kelly) Petri of Roselawn, Jerry (Crystal) Petri of Gary and Rick Petri of Gary; one sister Grace (Mike) Iwan of Gary; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Dennis and Larry Petri; one sister Sharon Hunter; and one niece Candy Baldner.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are preferred to Ronnie's family.
