RONALD M. "SIGGY" TALLEY, age 38, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, following a courageous battle with cancer. Ron had been a Valparaiso resident for 10 years and was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident. He was employed at Comcast as a service technician and an E.M.T./Firefighter for South Haven and Union Township Fire Departments. Ron was president of Rolling Inferno, Tri-County Chapter and member of The Bridge Community Church in Portage.
Ron is survived by his wife, Shannon, 2 sons, Dakota & Austin, father, Wayne Talley of Portage, brother, Gerald (Beth) Parton of Portage, sister, Joyce (John) Evans of Sturgis, KY, mother & father-in-law, Brenda (Marion) Iwan of Portage, brother-in-law, Chad (Jacinda) Darnell of Valparaiso, sister-in-law, Amber Darnell of Portage, several nieces & nephews. His mother, Ina Talley, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers donations to the family, to be used for his sons, would be appreciated.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, with Pastor Peter Mueller officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery in Portage.
