Ronnie D. Boozer, Sr.

Ronald D. "Ronnie" Boozer, Sr., age 65, of Hobart, IN passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

Ronnie was born on April 4, 1956 in Harvey, IL to the late Elmer and Edith "Polly" Boozer.  He was a graduate of Calumet High School, Class of 1974.  Ronnie worked as a feederman for Ardagh Glass, formerly Ball Glass in Dalton, IL.  He married the love of his life, Brenda, on July 6, 1974 and spent 47 loving years together.

Ronnie was a member of Jubilee Worship Center.  He enjoyed fixing just about anything he could get his hands on.  Ronnie liked to work on cars and woodwork, and built bunkbeds for his two granddaughters, Jordan and Cameron. He loved being active by camping and fishing with his granddaughters. An avid gardener, Ronnie planted pumpkins every year for his granddaughters to harvest.  Ronnie helped out everyone he could and was a devoted, loving husband, father, and papa.

Ronnie is survived by his wife: Brenda; son: Ron (Jackie) Boozer, Jr.; granddaughters: Jordan and Cameron Boozer; brother: John (Margaret) Boozer; mother-in-law: Audra Watson; and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents: Elmer and Polly and brother: David Boozer.

Family and friends may gather at Jubilee Worship Center (415 N Hobart Rd, Hobart) for a memorial visitation on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 P.M.  A memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M. with Bishop Dale Combs.  Cremation and arrangements are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ronnie's name may be made to Jubilee Worship Center (415 N Hobart, Rd, Hobart).
