Ronnie F. Rodrick

Ronnie F. Rodrick, age 68, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 surrounded by his wife and children at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.

Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Jean; son, Timothy S. (Kindra); daughter, Lori J. (fiancé, Norbert Jones); grandchildren, Hannah, Lorenzo, Cameron, Ryan, Makenzie; brother, James (Georgeanne) Rodrick; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin O. and Edith Madeline (nee Sellers) Rodrick.

Ron was born in the area on May 17, 1949 and lived in Lake Station most of his life, graduating from River Forrest High in 1967.  He was a millwright, formerly employed by Blaw Knox Steel Foundry in East Chicago and more recently at Sun Engineering in Lake Station.  He enjoyed talking about World War II history, airplanes, and cars.

Visitation with family will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 3-7 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jason Kegebein officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.
