Rose Acevez

Rose Acevez, age 98, of Hobart passed away Tuesday November 4, 2014 at the Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center. Rose was born April 1, 1916 in Gary, Indiana to the late Martin and Lena (Gilardo) Pollizotto. Rose worked for Kresges and Three Sisters and was a homemaker loving mother and grandmother.

Rose is survived by her three sons Martin Acevez of Hobart, Vincent Acevez and Richard Acevez; one grandchild and one brother Eddie Pollizotto.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Sam and Don and two sisters Frances and Santa.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday November 7, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Rev. Lourdu Pasala officiating. Private burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 am until 1 pm at the funeral home.
