Obituary

ROSE MARIE BIELEWICZ, nee Wronko, age 94, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully Monday, September 30, 2013 surrounded by her family in hospice care in Mesa. Rose was born on November 30, 1918 in Gary, Indiana. She was a longtime member of Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church in New Chicago and Lodge #3134, Madame Curie Circle, Polish National Alliance, Chopin Chorus. Rose had been a resident of Linden House in Hobart before moving to Mesa, AZ, in October of 2012.
She was preceded in death by parents, Julian and Rose Wronko, husband, Walter L. Bielewicz, Sr., her son, Gerald Bielewicz, two brothers, Joseph and Leo Wronko, two sisters, Bernice and Stella.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Robert) Houston of Lake Havasu, AZ, her son, Walter (Judith) Bielewicz of Mesa, AZ, and her daughter-in-law, Linda Bielewicz of Kokomo, IN, 8 grandchildren: Amy, Chris, David, Debbie, Jeff, Jennifer, Mark and Nicole, 8 great grandchildren, 8 nephews and 9 nieces. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the American Heart Association.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2013, beginning with 9:30 am prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart and then proceeding to Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Lourdu Pasala celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 4:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 219-942-2109 or online at www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
