Rose Dobrovits, age 88, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016. She was born on June 18, 1928 to the late Ernesto and Geraldine (nee Lapore) Spatola. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She was a talented seamstress and loved to play cards. Rose will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Roger) Allcock, Valerie Kwilin ; granddaughters, Beth Owen, Heather Norris, Ashley (Kevin)Kesnak, Deborah Allcock, Amanda Hogan, Ashley Kwilin; grandsons, Steven Norris, Tim Norris, Steven Dobrovits, Nicholas Dobrovits, Brian ( Kristin) Howarth, Adam Kwilin, Shawn Herzog, David Price; great grandchildren, Sean Gosselin, Riley Ray Owen, Mark Norris, Chyenne Kesnak, Emily Price, Derrick Price, Larissa Herzog, Mia Herzog, Gavin Herzog, Tyler Hogan, and Clark Hogan III.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudy Dobrovits; son, Mark Dobrovits; daughter, Deborah Howarth; brother, Michael Spatola and sister, Antoinette Moran.

A funeral service for Rose will take place Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. Paul Quanz officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 from 12:00-8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. For more information, please call 219-762-3013.
