Rose Guajardo (nee Esquibel) , age 84, of Portage, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Rose was a longtime area resident. She was born on May 25, 1928 to Demeico and Rosa (Martinez) Esquibel. Rose loved to dance and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving of 58 years husband, Manuel L. Guajardo, 9 children, Cindy (David) Warner, Florence Leyba, Fred Leyba, Arnold (Laurie) Guajardo, Gloria (Keith) Simms, Michael (Lisa) Guajardo, Danny (Robin) Guajardo, Arther (Kim) Guajardo and Nancy (Mark) Stueber; 26 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, son, Manuel Guajardo and daughter-in-law, Fran Leyba. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:00am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013, 2:00-8:00pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
