Rose Elizabeth Zulich (nee Kushneruk), age 92 of Lake Station, passed away August 13, 2024. She was born on January 13, 1932, in Gary, Indiana to the late Frank and Anna Kushneruk. On March 4, 1950, she married Ted Zulich. Rose worked retail sales at Goldblatts in downtown Gary before working for more than 30 years on an assembly line for the Anderson Company.  After retirement, she volunteered her time with the Lake Station Food Pantry and the VFW. She also worked for the schools as a crossing guard. Rose loved oil painting, gardening and was a self-taught seamstress. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and her home was always open to them as a gathering place. She loved to host pool parties, holiday celebrations, family reunions and fly Old Glory. She will always be remembered for the loving care she showed her family.

She is survived by her daughter, KiKi (Dennis) Martin of Valparaiso; grandsons, Todd Martin, Kyle (Kristyn) Martin, Drew Martin; great grandchildren, Kali, Kellen and Korbyn; sister, Josephine Collins; great uncle, Joe Pitzel;  several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted Zulich; her parents, Frank and Anna Kushneruk; her stepfather, Bruce Hardesty; brother, Steve Kushneruk; sisters, Katherine Hallett and Agnes Huff.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2447 Putnam Street, Lake Station.
