Rosemary Ensign

Rosemary Ensign, age 88, of Hobart passed away June 9, 2018 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso.  Rosemary was born December 31, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to the late Earle and Gladys (Parrott) Carter.  Rosemary was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, Heritage Quilters, Loose Threads, and the Winamac Old Auto Club. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

Rosemary is survived by her three daughters, Susan (Ken) Laud of Crown Point, Peggy Ryba of Hobart and Karen Adams of Valparaiso; seven grandchildren; Kevin (Kay Brungs) Laud, Caitlin Laud, Jeremy Ryba, Chad (Sherill Shannon) Ryba, Cassandra (Mike) Bilyak, Robert Bogan and Kelly (Jimmy) Elkins; eleven great grandchildren, Riley, Gemma, Wyatt , Kara, Arik, Alex, Hunter, Dallas, Austin, Grace and Elijah; three great-great grandchildren, Grayson, Emree and Owen; two sisters, Barbara (Lee) Thompson of Hobart and Shirley (Don Jurs) Worthington of Hobart; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert and her parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday June 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
