Rosetta (nee Lucas) Bailey, age 89, of Crown Point and formerly of Hobart, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was born on August 12, 1936, in Boissevain, Virginia, to the late Samuel and Blanche (nee Grosclose) Lucas.

On May 28, 1955, Rosetta married the love of her life, Thomas E. Bailey. She dedicated many years to working as a medical secretary for Methodist Hospitals as well as several physicians' offices. She was known for her quiet strength and devoted nature and cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her loving son, Thomas G. Bailey; sisters, Mary (Roger) Hamm, Geraldine (the late Pete) Cannon; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Blanche Lucas; her beloved husband, Thomas E. Bailey; her son, Terry W. Bailey; her granddaughter, Alisha Robb; brothers, Harold (Frances) Lucas, Paul (Ruby) Lucas, James (Elaine) Lucas; sisters, Oma (Mitch) Shanahan, Eula (Martin) Lester, Edna (Fred) Wyesloiff, and Audrey (Jerry) Kemp.

In accordance with Rosetta's wishes, no attended services were held. A private burial took place at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart.
