Rosetta Rosenbaum

Rosetta (Stack) Rosenbaum (Grandma Rose), age 96 a longtime Hobart resident passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024.  She was born on October 5, 1928 in Gary, Indiana to the late Leo and Catherine Stack.  Rosetta worked most of her life as a bookkeeper.  She was also a volunteer at St. Mary Medical Center and was past Worthy Matron of Crown Point Eastern Star.  She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Luke Oil and Town and Country.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Leo Stack, husband, Albert (Pike), daughter, Catherine Diane (Douglas) Hines, son, Everett (Skip) Miller, sister, Mary Margaret Gannon, and grandson, James Hines.

Surviving grandchildren, Rosie (Mickey) Vereb, Douglas (Jackie) Hines, Candyce Hartley, Christine (Joseph) Lumbley, Heidy Santos, Wendy Brooks, Anna Marie Mendoza, 14 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Nathan Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.  Visitation is just prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart..
