Roxanne Lee Long, age 54, of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 2, 1961 in Gary, Indiana to Jessie Long and Muriel Berry. Roxanne loved country music and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her father: Jessie Long; son: Jonathan (girlfriend, Emily Hamilton) Petursson; daughter: Wendy (David) Bailey; grandchildren: Nathaniel Fisher, Jami Chase, Haley Hastings, Isaiah Bailey, Deborah Bailey, Jonathan Petursson, Jr., Jorja Petursson, Kaylee Hamilton, Caleb Bailey, Piper Petursson; brother: Richard Long; sisters: Tina Long, Leeanne Long, Susan (Don) Neither; nieces and nephews: Virginia, Telisha, Jr., David, Samantha, Jose, Jason, Tony, Eddie, Racheal, Renee, Ashley, Alexus, Cody and Ricky; stepfather: Robert Berry; longtime boyfriend: Paco Rodriguez; good friend: Marcus Petursson; best friend: Karen Johnston; many other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Muriel Berry; step mother: Kathleen Long; grandchild: Jacob Bailey; sisters: Barbara Rivera, Donna Long.

A funeral service for Roxanne will take place Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana.
