Roy Contreraz, age 83, of Lake Station passed away Tuesday November 17, 2015. Roy was born July 3, 1932 in Gary, Indiana to the late Jesus and Micaela (Rodriguez) Contreraz. Roy retired from Wiseway Foods as night manager.

Roy is survived by his wife of 54 years Lorene; nine children Jesus (Pam) Contreraz, Raul (Lynda) Contreraz, Roy Lee (Nancy) Contreraz, Robert (Martina) Contreraz, Roger Contreraz, Ronald Lee (Diane) Contreraz, John Welbourne, Brad Lee Welbourne and Irma Dunahoo of Lake Station; one brother Robert Anthony (Lydia) Contreraz; three sisters Sally (Ken) Wishmeyer, Gloria (John) Wolfe and Henrietta Contreraz; twenty-five grand children and twenty-five great grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Phyllis Hicks and two sons Robert Wayne Welbourne and James Lee Welbourne.

Cremation services were handled by Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel in Lake Station.
