Roy Bradford Sipich

Roy Bradford Sipich, age 73, of Portage passed away Wednesday November 22, 2023, at the Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Roy was born November 19, 1950, in Gary, Indiana to the late George and Electra (Bradford) Sipich. After retiring from US Steel with thirty-three and a half years of service, he worked an additional ten years with the Indiana Department of Corrections. In his spare time, he would rehab his home.

Roy is survived by his two daughters, Carrie A. (Life partner James Powell of Gosport and Jami Sipich of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Dalton Smith, Kayla Krachinski, Garrett Sipich, and Elizabeth Smith; a great grandson, Jack Krachinski; and his beloved companion of over thirty years, Elma Whitlow.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Sipich.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday November 29, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368.
