Roy Wilkerson

Roy Wilkerson, age 65 of Lake Station passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018.  He was born on September 27, 1952 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late Watson and Katherine(nee Todd)  Wilkerson. He was a lifelong Lake Station resident and was retired from U.S. Steel where he had worked in the Coke Plant.  He enjoyed scrapping, collecting stuff, and reselling.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Wilkerson (nee Lewis) of Lake Station, IN; four sons, Roy (Debbie) Wilkerson of Lake Station, IN; Timothy Wilkerson of Lake Station, IN; Tony Wilkerson of Lake Station, IN; James Wilkerson of Portage, IN; one sister, Linda Donnelly:   eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Wilkerson, two brothers, Lucian and Watson E. Wilkerson, two sisters, Francis and Mary Lou Wilkerson.

Funeral services are Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.  Visitation is Wednesday, just prior to the service from12:00 to 1:00 p.m.  (219) 962-1606 or www.Reesfuneralhomes.com
