Rubin K. Ketchem III, age 33 of Lake Station passed away Friday, May 6, 2022. He was born on August 29, 1988 in Gary, Indiana to Rubin and Laura Ketchem. Rubin was a free spirit who will always be remembered for his sense of humor. He absolutely loved music and spent many hours writing and producing music. He also liked watching horror movies and gaming.

He is survived by his father, Rubin (Jennifer) Ketchem, Jr.; son, Dakota Ketchem and his mother, Destanie Floyd; brother, Jesse Ketchem; sisters, Krystal (Joel Torres) Ketchem, Angela (Brandon) Boyd; nieces, Ivani, Jazlyn, Julyssa and Alexa Torres; nephews, Jesse Ketchem and Blade Boyd; grandfather, Junior Burton; grandmother, Violet O'Connell; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Ketchem; grandmother, Debra Burton; and grandfather, Rubin K. Ketchem, Sr.

A funeral service for Rubin will take place Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station.
