Ruby M. Broman

Ruby M. Broman, age 75, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born in North Dakota on January 3, 1942. Using her love for cooking, she retired from St. Mary's, where she worked as a dietary cook. Ruby loved to play Skip-Bo, dice, and crosswords. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Ruby is survived by daughters, Maysha (Terry) Carlson, Marci (Adam Fulton) Collins, Ronda (Jesus) Gil; son, John Michael (Deborah) Garcia; brother, Loren (Darlene) Hanson; grandchildren, Michael P. Garcia, Chelsie Garcia, Joseph Gonzalez, Gabrielle Gil, Braydon Carlson, Kyle Carlson; great grandchildren, Zale Garcia, Irene Garcia, Onyx Gonzalez; and beloved cousin, Hanky Demetrakis.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, John Michael Garcia, Jr.
A funeral service for Ruby will take place Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342 with Father Andrew Corona officiating.
