Ruby J. Fortenberry

Ruby J. Fortenberry (nee Putman), age 83, of Portage, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019. She was born on October 1, 1935 in Alabama to the late Alton and Ida Putman.

Ruby is survived by her children, Jack Fortenberry, Patricia Sanchez, Terry Fortenberry; grandchildren, Carlos Sanchez, Jessica Fortenberry, Savannah Fortenberry; sister, Evelyn Putman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Fortenberry; infant son, Kenneth Michael Fortenberry; and several brothers and sisters.

A funeral service for Ruby will take place Friday, June 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
