Russell O. Fife, Sr., age 91, of Portage, formerly of Lady Lake, Florida and Hobart, passed away July 10, 2018.  He was born on February 3, 1927 in Gary, IN to the late Elbert and Florence Fife.

He is survived by his children, Ralph (Marie) Pyle of Belleville, IL, Lynn Smith of Valparaiso, Cheryl (Jim Candler) Austin of Hobart, Russell O. (Karen) Fife, Jr. of Hobart; brother, Gerald (Sharon) Fife of Henderson, NV; special friends, Richard and Diana Fendley of Lady Lake, FL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his home health care nurse, Laura Traficante. Thank you for taking such good care of dad for the past three years. You are considered family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theola R. Fife in 1992; second wife, Dee Fife in 2004; six siblings; son-in-law, James Austin; granddaughter, Susan; grandsons, Robert and Michael. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in his honor.

Visitation for Russell will take place Friday, July 13, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
