RUSSELL P. MINNICH, age 61, of Merrillville, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Russell had been a lifelong resident of Merrillville and was an employee of the Town of Merrillville. He enjoyed flying model planes.
Russell is survived by his wife, Patty, daughter, Amanda Minnich (fiancé, Rowdy Rejholec) of Hammond, brother, Clair Edward, Jr. (Mary) Minnich of Rockledge, Florida, 7 nephews and 3 nieces, father-in-law, John Vaughn of Lake Station and 4 brother-in-laws and 4 sister-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair Edward, Sr. and Ellen Minnich.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor Kevin Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery in Portage, Indiana.
