Russell "Rusty" Potts, age 69 of Hobart, passed away January 8, 2014. He was born July 9, 1944 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Eugene M. Potts and Betty D. Sexton. He was a lifelong northwest Indiana resident.

He is survived by his son, Beau Hunter; daughters, Dorothy Potts, Bitsy (John) Nixon and Misty Hunter; brothers, Edwin (Wanda S) Potts, Arthur (MaryAnne) Potts, Randall (Madelyn) Potts, Jeffrey (Jean) Potts and Michael (Beverly) Potts; sister, Starla Potts and grandchildren, Gabby, John, Quinny, Emmy and JoJo and Izik.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Potts and Betty Sexton and his wife, Mary Jo Potts. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
