Ruth Cotton, age 89, of Lake Station, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. She was born on May 20, 1925 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Valentine and Leoma Jones.
Ruth is survived by her son, Thomas (Karna) Cotton; daughters, Leoma Daniels, Marcella Kitchen, Patricia (Carl) Joseph; 25 grandchildren; numerous and beloved great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Valentine and Leoma Jones; husband, Frank Cotton; daughter, Frances Leyba; son, James Cotton; grandson, Jeff Kitchen; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
A funeral service for Ruth will take place Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
