Ruth E. Hiemstra Buss

RUTH ELEANOR HIEMSTRA BUSS, age 100, went to be with her Lord on October 30, 2020.  She passed in her bedroom in Hebron, Indiana surrounded by family.  She was born in Chicago, IL to the late Fred and Helen (Bult) Hiemstra, the third of five children and twin sister to Robert.  Ruth had many great memories growing up on the farm and remained close to her family all her life.  She will be missed by many. 1 Thes 4:13 (ESV) "…we do not grieve as others do who have no hope."

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Ire Buss; sons, Daniel, Eugene (Beverly) and Clifford Buss; siblings, Frederick (Thelma) Hiemstra, Alice (John) Anker, twin brother, Robert Hiemstra, and Lois (Don) LaTorra.

Ruth is survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 daughters-in-law, Margo Sanderson and Jan Buss; sister-in-law, Kathy Hiemstra; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 12:30 pm at Faith Fellowship Church, 84 S 500 W, Valparaiso, IN 46385.  Visitation will take place just prior to the service from 11-12:30 pm.
