RUTH B. HUDSON, age 91, of Portage, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012. Ruth was born in Crockett Co., Tennessee on July 6, 1920 to James and Sarah Bailey. She was a good Christian woman who was a loving mother and grandmother.

Ruth is survived by her 3 sons, Marvin (Terri) Hudson and Melvin (Cynthia) Hudson all of Portage, James Mark (Laurie) Hudson of Valparaiso; 1 daughter, Jo Ann (Arthur) Goss of Wheeler; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; other loving family and dear friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. W. Melvin Hudson; her parents, and her grandson, James Hudson.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 2 – 5 & 7-9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. A funeral service for Ruth will be Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating.
