Ruth Frances Price, age 95, a longtime resident of Hobart passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. She was born on May 1, 1915 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of George and Gertrude McBride. Ruth was a 1933 graduate of Marion High School. She worked as a telephone operator and at the soda fountain at Hooks Drugs. Ruth was married to Everett Price on May 20, 1939 in Tipton. In 1955, while watching a Billy Graham crusade on television she accepted Christ as her Savior. Ruth was an active member of Evergreen Memorial Baptist Church. She worked for American Color Type as an assembly line worker retiring in 1967. Her greatest joy was being with her family.

Ruth is survived by her loving family; sons Thomas (Nancy) Price, Schererville, and Edward (Jackie) Price, Hobart, daughters Donna (John) Shively, Gas City, and Loretta (Joe) Blake, Churubusco, 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, son-in-law Ron Garland, Fowler, and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett Price, her daughter Carolyn Garland.

A visitation for Ruth Price will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Rees Funeral Home, with Pastor G.C. Martin, officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
