Ruth (Aguilar) Quintanilla, 82 of Hobart, IN passed away on May 16, 2018, with her family by her side at St. Mary's Hospital, Hobart IN. Ruth was born December 30, 1936, in East Chicago, IN to Ray and Petra Aguliar. She graduated from Washington High School and attended college at Indiana University where she graduated from the School of Nursing. Ruth worked as a Registered Nurse for Methodist Hospital and Inland Steel. Ruth loved caring for others and was a proud R.N. for over 30 years. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she was a social butterfly with a smile as warm as the sun, she loved to play the piano, being involved with her church at Barrington Ridge Baptist, her garden club, spending the winter months in Texas, and enjoyed camping at Yogi Bear Campground in Pierceton, IN.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Petra Aguilar; her stepmother Consuelo Aguilar; her mother in-law Leocadia (Cecilo) Quintanilla, sister(s) Delores Aguilar, Mary (Sotero) Navarro, Ernestina (Trini) Hernandez, Elvira (Juan) Arroyo, Marina (Dennis) Engel, Isabel Torres, RosaMaria (Raul) DeLaParra; her brother Antonio Aguilar; her brother in-law(s) Catarino (Sophia) Quintanilla, Juan Silvas.

Ruth is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Santos Quintanilla; her children Rhoda (Daniel) Zapata, Luke Quintanilla, Ruth (Shawn) Corle; her brother, Ray (Lea) Aguilar; her sister(s) Ester Bowersox, Victoria (Eli) Perz; six grandchildren, Irma (Brian) Kincaide, Danny Ray (Kristy) Zapata, Jason Corle, Jeffrey (Breanna) Corle, Rhoda Renee (Scott) Soto and John (Marisa) Zapata; her eighteen great-grandchildren, Emilleo Haddon-Zapata, Tristan Zapata, Zachary Zapata, Abigail Zapata, Calvin Alcox -Zapata, Aidan Kincaide, Angelina Corle, Addison Corle, Shawn Corle, Eli Kincaide, Alaina Corle, Angelo Soto, Arilenna Zapata, Maddex Corle, Daniella Zapata, Xavier Zapata, Avah Corle, Liam Zapata; her nephew-brother Frank (Maria) Aguilar; her foster-brother Ben (Valeria) Flores; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ruth will be Monday, May 21,2018 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Barrington Ridge Baptist Church, 97 Bracken Pkwy, Hobart, Indiana 46342, with Pastor J.J Hairston officiating.
