Ruth C. Urbanski (nee Quigley) age 95 a longtime Portage resident passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016. She was born on October 25, 1920 in Gary Indiana to the late Albert and Cecelia Quigley. She loved Scrabble, football and singing. She was an avid reader and walker, walking all over Portage. She also enjoyed calling bingo and visiting nursing homes. Ruth was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic church and was a former Secretary of the St Francis Xavier Women's Sodality.
She is survived by four sons, Edward (Jan) Urbanski of Paradise Valley, AZ; Bob (Cathy) Urbanski of Gilbert, AZ; Gene Urbanski of Portage, IN; Dan (Cheryl) Urbanski of Lebanon, IN; two daughters, Dianne (Late Ken) Rewerts of Huntley, IL; June (Dave) Crick of Churubusco, IN; two brothers, Merle Quigley of Hobart, IN: Lawrence Quigley of Chesterton, IN; three sisters, Jackie Hyde of Valparaiso, IN; Eileen (Archie) Camery of Hobart, IN; Judy Sanchez of Hobart, IN: 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Edward Urbanski, one brother, Albert Quigley and two sisters, Lorraine Eberhart and Nancy Korenich.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ruth's honor may be made to Assumption BVM Church, 3530 Illinois Street, Hobart, IN 46342.
