RUTH EILEEN WOLFORD, age 91, of Hobart, formerly of Gary and Logansport, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point. She was born on June 8, 1920 in Logansport to Henry and Goldie Gaumer. She was a member of the Deep River Church of Christ. She was very honest, kind and was a very good friend. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family loved her wonderful pies and chocolate chip cookies. In her later years she was very grateful for her loving caregivers, Barabara Czekaj, Pam Olson and MaryAnn Ivankovich.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Muniz of Crown Point and Debra (Keith) Weaver of Portage; grandson, Brian Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Norman; her parents; brother, Paul and sister, Helen L. Gaumer.

Funeral services for Ruth will be Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Deep River Church of Christ, 7500 Grand Blvd., Merrillville, with Mr. Ron Buche officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at 1 p.m. (CST) 2 p.m. (EST) in Logansport, IN.
