Sally H. Ogiego, age 95 of Hobart passed away Monday, April 24, 2017. She was born on August 25, 1921 in New Chicago, Indiana to the late Michael and Helen (nee Kubicki) Zrombkowski. Sally was a retired 20 year Cafeteria Manager for River Forest High school. She was a longtime member of Assumption BVM Church in New Chicago and a member of Polish National Alliance Lodge 778. Sally will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Sandie) Galka of Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews;four grandchildren; four great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bruno Galka; second husband John Ogiego; daughter, Diana Galka; son, Leonard Galka; sister, Sylvia Wojnarowski; six brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Zygmund, Theodore, Henry and Edwin Zrombkowski.
Funeral service are Saturday, April 29, 2017 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart and proceeding to Assumption BVM for a 10:00 a.m. mass of Christian burial with Rev. Lourdu Pasala officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
