Samantha N. Carr

Samantha N. Carr, 40, of Portage passed away in her home Friday, November 24, 2023.  She was born October 14, 1983, in Porter County, Indiana to John and Kate (Richards) Carr.

Samantha was the proud mother of Ozzy Devine, whom she loved dearly.  She was most recently a baker making donuts at the County Line Orchard in Hobart.  She enjoyed going to as many concerts as she could and was a huge fan of the Grateful Dead and Dave Matthews.  Samantha was loved by her family and many friends and will be dearly missed.

Samantha will be forever remembered by her father, John Carr; mother, Kate Carr; son, Ozzy Devine; brothers, Philip (Renee) Carr, and Deric (Mallory) Carr; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Samantha was preceded in death by her brother, Justin Carr.

Family will receive friends from 2:00pm – 4:00pm Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Rees Funeral Home Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368, with a time of sharing at 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for Ozzy's education.
