Sandra Lee Jakum

Sandra Lee Jakum, age 71, of Hobart passed away December 20, 2017 at her daughter's home in Battle Ground.  She was born November 21, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frederick and Florence (Hybert) Hull.  She retired from the House Keeping Department of Valparaiso University.  She was a member of the American Legion Post #502 Auxiliary.

Sandra is survived by her two children, James (Mary) Vaughan of Lakewood, OH and Shawn (Rodney) Jakum-Lawson; two grandchildren, Karissa Olson and Logan Egendoerfer; a great granddaughter, Raven Appleton; a sister Mary (Wayne) Littell of Star City; a sister-in-law Ronnie Lambert; favorite cousin, Lorraine Wiser; and her long-time companion, Al DeMass.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Phillip Jakum.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, IN 46368.

Memorial gifts are preferred to the National MS Society in lieu of flowers.
