Sandra L.(Sandy) Meitzler, age 80, of Lake Station passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019.  She was born in Gary, Indiana on November 8, 1938 to the late Hurshel and Beatrice (nee Morse) Sullivan. She retired from H&R Block with more than 25 years of service. Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a passion for gardening and spending time with her family. She was strong, selfless and compassionate matriarch for her family. She will be missed by many.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Robert Meitzler, Skip (Susan) Meitzler, Mike Meitzler and Darrell Meitzler; grandchildren, Nicole Meitzler, Samantha (Mike) Berrier, Mike Meitzler, Jacob Meitzler, Rachel Meitzler, Heather (Jimmy) Walden Meitzler, Breanna Redmon; great grandchildren, Austin, Chadwick, Nevin Bolin and Gabe Redmon; sisters, Maureen Petillon, Rhoda Biller, Patricia Volk, Carole (Charlie) Meitzler; and several loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Meitzler, Jr.; sons, John Meitzler III, Jason Meitzler; parents, Hurshel and Beatrice Sullivan; brothers, Richard Sullivan, Clifford Sullivan, Bruce Sullivan; sister, Aleta Whittinghill; and daughter-in-law, Denise Meitzler.

A graveside service for Sandra will take place Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery, 2701 Willowdale Road in Portage. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel.
