Sandra K. Michaels, age 64, of Valparaiso passed away Sunday November 1, 2015. She was born January 24, 1951 in Valparaiso, IN to the late Leslie and Margaret (Ward) Carpenter. Sandy drove a bus for the Portage Township School systems for over 30 years before retiring. She loved her family and will be missed greatly by them.

She is survived by her loving husband Douglas Michaels, Sr.; one son Douglas Michaels, Jr. of Valparaiso; one brother Roger (Connie) Ward of Wanatah, one sister Arlene Bos of Wanatah; one grandson Alexander Michaels.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368.
