Sandra K. Ragon

Sandra K. Ragon (nee Carrigan), age 64, of Portage, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 2, 1954 in Union City, TN to the late James and Bobbie Carrigan. Affectionately known as "G", which stood for 'grandma', her greatest blessing was her children and her grandchildren. Sandy was a mom to many and loved every kid that came into her home. She treated them like her own and dedicated her life to taking care of others.

She is survived by her son, Jarrett (Jennifer) Ragon; daughters, Nicole Ragon, Kristal (Walt) Evans; grandchildren, Zachary Ragon, Haley Lawrence, Russell Ragon, Gracie Evans, Grayson Evans; brothers, Wayne (Pam) Carrigan, Michael (Donia) Carrigan; best friend and sister-in-law, Carol (Chuck) Ragon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Ragon; her parents, James and Bobbie Carrigan; and one grandchild, baby Evans.

Memorial contributions in Sandy's name may be made to the family to help with the cost of funeral expenses.

A funeral service for Sandy will take place Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Ron Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. For more information, please call (219) 762-3013.
