SARA M. BELADELA, age 78, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Sara had been a Hobart resident for over 50 years and a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Hobart. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother and an outstanding chef that loved to cook. Sara was creative and enjoyed gardening, reading novels and decorating her home for the holidays.
Sara is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ed Beladela, son, Dave Beladela of Hobart, daughter, Audrey Beladela of Los Angeles, CA, grandson, Barrett (Daniella) Bednarz of Los Angeles, CA, 4 sisters: Rose Mary (Richard) Vrtikapa of Merrillville, Anna Geleta of Highland, Josephine Maranto of Harvey, Illinois and Barbara (Jim) Shinovich of Winfield and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Erickson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 beginning with 9:30 am prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, and then proceeding to St. Bridget Church for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino celebrating the Mass.
