SARAH L. GRUBBS-MADISON, age 88, of Hobart, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor in Portage. Sarah had been a longtime Hobart resident and member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was affectionately known to her family as a loving Mother and Grandmother. Sarah had been employed in purchasing at the Gary National Bank.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Diana) Grubbs of Hobart, daughter-in-law, Marsha Grubbs of New Castle, IN, 3 grandchildren: Rachel Grubbs, Megan (Jon) Evans and James (Misty) Grubbs, 7 great grandchildren, brother, Paul (Maxine) Wright of La Fontaine, IN. Her husbands, Clay Grubbs and Leo Madison and son, James Grubbs preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd, Hobart. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Rev.
