Scott Micheal Jones, Jr., age 23, of Lake Station passed away unexpectedly Monday April 10, 2023, in Valparaiso. Scotty was born June 19, 1999, in Valparaiso, Indiana to Scott Michael and Jamie (Vlamos) Jones, Sr. Scotty worked as an apprentice Sheet Metal Fabricator for Area Sheet Metal. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #20. Scotty was a member of the VFW Darts Club and the Sons of the American Legion at Post #100 in Lake Station. Scotty loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Scotty is survived by his mother, Jamie Vlamos of Portage; his father, Scott Jones, Sr. of Merrillville; five siblings, Ashley Jones, Ava Jones, Brennen Jones, Johnathon (Ashley) Vlamos, and Kamen (Taylor) Vlamos; his grandparents, Tom and Cindy Vlamos, and Norma Diaz; aunts and uncles, Christa (Chris) Connelly, Amanda (Garrett) Pendleton, Lauren (Eric) Murray, and Brandon Campbell; and many loving nieces and nephew including, Kiara, Axel, and Mia. Extra loved ones, Heather, Grammy, and Nic.

Visitation for Scotty will be conducted from 4-8 pm Friday April 14, 2023, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368. Cremation will follow.
