SELENA A. MILLER (nee BALLARD), 48, of Calumet Township, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at home. Selena was born on March 1, 1963 in Gary, Indiana to Ray & Donna Ballard. She had been a lifelong Gary area resident and was employed at St. Anthony Senior Citizens Center in Crown Point.
She is survived by her son, Randy Donald of Portage, daughter, Nicole Donald of Gary, parents, Ray & Donna Ballard of Merrillville, grandson, Kaden McNeil, brother, Kenneth Ballard of Merrillville, grandfather, William McNorton and nieces, Shelie Crider & Shaughnessy Ballard. Her sister, Shaughnessy Ridgeway preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 2-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. Funeral service will also be Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, with Rev. Joseph V. Murphy officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
